About Jordan
Prior to working as an Account Manager in IRP, Jordan worked as a Transport Coordinator, a very demanding and fast-paced role which saw him managing a team of around 40 metro drivers.

Jordan’s move into the recruitment industry was thanks to a conversation with his teammate Alex at soccer training. Alex told Jordan about a job opening where he worked at IRP, and thought Jordan would be a great fit for the role.
Jordan aced his interview and has been with the team since April. He’s now responsible for the recruitment and retention of candidates across a variety of our Manufacturing and Electrical clients.

His vast experience in the Transport & Logistics industry has made him a pro at problem solving, adapting to unforeseen situations and effective communication, all skills necessary to thrive as a recruiter.

Jordan knows firsthand the demands of being a picker, all the way through to being a manager, and what type of attitudes and experience it requires to be successful in each job. This makes him the perfect person to assess candidates, read their abilities and place them in the right job.

Jordan has enjoyed the challenge of trying his hand in a new industry and has been excelling in his role, placing many happy candidates into the right roles for them and meeting our clients’ needs.

Q&A
When I'm not busy with work..
I like to spend the majority of my time playing soccer and working out. Football has been something I’ve played since I was five, so it plays a major part in my identity away from work. In the off-season, I’m hanging out with friends, watching sport, or trying out the endless restaurants & cafes around Perth.

What do you love about working in the recruitment industry?
At its core, I love helping people. Whether it’s getting out to site and helping the client with their recruitment challenges or finding the perfect job for someone who has been struggling for a while, it’s satisfying doing a good job and making people happy.

Do you have any interesting stories from your time working in this industry?
One moment that stands out is when I found the right job for someone who had just moved to Perth from Bhutan. As a thank you gift for finding them a job, they gave me a traditional, handmade purse and matching velcro wallet! This was such a thoughtful gift which I did not expect at all.
