The Client:
My client is a renowned provider of specialist process equipment and components for Mineral Processing Mines. Based locally in WA, they service clients across the country, as well as internationally.

Due to internal promotion, they are currently looking to add an experienced stores / warehouse person to their Forrestfield based team. The incumbent has been in the role for nearly 10 years, meaning this is a rare chance to join a very supportive culture that provides opportunities for progression.

The Role:
The Storeperson role here is multi-dimensional and will see the successful applicant trained across all areas of the warehouse. The day to day of the job will include receiving stock, relabelling, storing, generating orders, picking orders, despatching to clients, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and general running of the warehouse.

As they provide custom solutions, attention to detail is key in this role when counting stock to match drawings, as well as when despatching. Errors here can cost thousands of dollars should an order be shipped overseas incorrectly.

Over time, you will become autonomous and be given the freedom to run the warehouse as you see fit. The client is progressive and values the input from staff on the floor regarding operational and process improvements. Due to the nature of the business, strong intuition, organisation and the ability to re-prioritise through the day will be important to your success in the role.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to buy into a very strong company culture and make the role their own. Long term progression into roles that include interstate and overseas travel is on the table for those who want it, however those who are looking to stay in stores and warehousing long term have that option also.

Culture here is everything, so a good, team first attitude is a must!

Who Are We Looking For?
  • First and foremost, you must be reliable, with a good attitude. The successful applicants will be good communicators, have decent computer knowledge, strong stores experience, and have a positive influence on the team.
  • LF ticket and experience (2T and 5T)
  • Self-aware with intuitive nature
  • Process and procedure driven mindset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organiser with communication skills
  • Physical capacity to lift 20kg +
