About the Role
Our client is a nationally owned and operated steel fabrication company that specialise in the production of all steel building products - commercial and residential. These can include flashings, purlins and rainwater goods to name a few. You will be based in Kewdale and be tasked with loading and restraining the steel freight for the runs departing the following morning. This can also include driving the semi’s around the yard to be loaded in separate doors. Due to an increasing workload, they are currently looking to add HC and LF/LO licenced workers to their team.

The freight you will be handling is light gauge steel that can be oversized and as such, the role is suited to safety conscious individuals who are happy to operate at a consistent pace. The ideal candidate would have a previous understanding of load restraint requirements, potentially suiting an ex-driver that wants to do to do the majority of the work in the yard and get away from Perth Metro driving.

The client is looking for staff they can grow to be self-sufficient, long-term employees. As a result, they are offering this role on full time hours with the opportunity to go permanent after 6-12 months for the right candidate.
